Avoob Poor-Rezazadeh was released late October, according to Article 18. along with fellow Church of Iran prisoner Ahmad Saparast, to serve the remainder of his sentence outside prison. However, he must report back daily to work at an adjacent factory from 7am-5pm.
On 9 April, 2022, Branch 2 of the Rasht Revolutionary Court sentenced Ayoob to five years in prison for engaging in “propaganda against the state” under Article 500 of Iran’s Penal Code.
