According to Kolbar News, in Iran today, political prisoners, prisoners of conscience and even prisoners convicted of ordinary crimes are among the most vulnerable members of society. They have no possibility of escape, no right to choose, and in many cases no regular access to news, medical care, or contact with their families.
Around 48 Christian prisoners are currently in prison in Iran. Sixteen of these are held in Evin Prison where conditions are reported to be especially dire, with administrative staff locking the gates to the prison and evacuating some wards. There have also been reports of some prisoners being transferred to other unidentified locations during this current war, but we have no news yet whether any of the Christian prisoners we are writing to are among these transfers.
Please continue to pray for the welfare and safety of our family in prison in Iran.
