Mina Khajavi | Iran Released

Mina Khajavi (61), was released from prison on 20 October after completing her sentence. According to reports, her sentence was reduced from six years to two earlier this year, which took into account the time spent in detention after her arrest in 2020.

Mina was arrested in June 2020 during raids on a number of house-churches in Tehran, Karaj and Malayer. She was charged with “acting against national security by promoting Zionist Christianity” and sentenced to six years in prison. Her sentence date was delayed after she was hit by a car and needed treatment for a broken ankle. In January 2024 she was summoned to begin her sentence at Evin prison. During the 10 day war Mina  was temporarily transferred from Evin prison to Qarchak Women’s Prison. Praise the Lord she has now been released back to her family.
