Morteza Mashoodkari was released in May 2023, to serve the remainder of his sentence outside prison. However, he must report back daily to work at an adjacent factory from 7am-5pm, according to Article 18.
On 9 April, 2022, Morteza was sentenced to five years in prison for ‘engaging in propaganda against the state’, under Article 500 of Iran’s Penal Code.
