Naser Navard Gol-Tapeh was recently sentenced again for activities related to his faith. When the new sentence was announced in early December 2025, an Iranian government prosecutor wrote: The defendant, aware of the illegality of distributing evangelistic books, began distributing Bibles and Holy Scriptures. In his confession, the defendant explains the reason for this mission as follows: “This action is part of my faith as a Christian. I would like to learn Christian theology and share it with my loved ones in Christ”
On October 15, 2025, Naser Gol-Tapeh was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment on various charges under the amended Article 500 of the Iranian penal code. The Ministry of Intelligence confiscated his personal property, including Bibles and Christian literature. He is currently being held in Evin Prison, Tehran.
